Meeting in a workshop in Mbankomo since April 7, the actors of the budget chain of the Ministry of Basic Education are strengthening their capacities for a more rigorous and efficient management of public finances.

The officials and actors of the budget chain of the Ministry of Basic Education (MINEDUB) have been participating, since April 7 in Mbankomo, in a strategic workshop dedicated to the execution of the 2026 budget. This meeting aims to ensure a better appropriation of operational mechanisms, with a view to optimal implementation in compliance with performance and transparency requirements.

At the heart of the discussions, a series of technical presentations on the different stages of public spending. From commitment to liquidation, then from authorization to payment, each phase is reviewed to strengthen the participants’ mastery of procedures. The objective is clear: to prevent irregularities, secure financial operations and ensure strict compliance with competencies and authorized ceilings.
According to the Director of Financial and Material Resources of MINEDUB, Dr. Doko Edjane Alain Mathieu, the quality of public spending relies on a harmonization of practices and a sustainable appropriation of ongoing budget reforms. This workshop thus appears as an essential step to consolidate achievements and drive a results-oriented management culture within the ministry.
