A traffic accident that occurred on April 04, 2026, resulted in the death of five people, including a mother and her two children. The vehicle carrying a family traveling to an event collided with a van carrying gas cylinders. The toll reports five deaths, including a mother, her two children, and a family friend. Only the head of the said family survived. The injured were taken to the Obala district hospital. The bodies of the victims Bodo Abena Martial, Assala Epi Emmanuel, Bella Ngono and Ayissi Ngono were kept at the morgue.
