The analysis is based on disturbing patterns, contradictory figures such as those indicating the results of the election, missing minutes, unexplained statistical gaps or opaque electoral practices. All things that contribute to obscuring the truth of the ballot by sowing confusion in the minds of citizens. The author, beyond listing the irregularities surrounding the October 2025 presidential election, presents the structural flaws that affect public confidence in the electoral system.

Daniel Essissima’s essay appears in a context where Cameroon has just experienced a post-election crisis marked by demonstrations, deaths, detentions and destruction of public buildings. Based on contesting the results of the election by denouncing irregularities, the violence showed the depth of the crisis of confidence existing between citizens and the electoral system. The author of the work thus analyzes the Cameroonian electoral system which should be reviewed to organize free, fair elections and to rebuild electoral transparency.
