
The launch took place on Wednesday, March 04, 2026, at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé during a ceremony presided over by the Inspector General of Administrative Services of the Ministry of Public Health, BOUKAR.
The Cameroonian government has officially launched its National Digital Health Strategic Plan (Psnsn) for the 2026-2030 period. The compass that will guide digital health actions for the next five years is structured into eight priority axes. Emphasis will be placed on governance, legislation, human resources, infrastructure, interoperability, and innovation.

With a total budget of 29 007 000 000 billion CFA francs, this plan is presented by the Ministry of Public Health as a strategic investment for Cameroon’s future. It will improve access to care, reduce treatment times, strengthen traceability and transparency, and better manage health emergencies. It is a coherent and budgeted response to the identified challenges and aims to improve the performance observed in the implementation of the strategic plan conducted in 2025, which revealed a system maturity level estimated at 1,8 out of 5.

For the implementation of the new plan, the various stakeholders are relying on multisectoral governance including the Ministry of Public Health, the administrations concerned by digital development, technical and financial partners, the private sector, civil society, and academic institutions.
