
An order from the president of the institution made public on March 09, 2026, announces the creation of audiovisual media at the lower house of Parliament.
The President of the National Assembly of Cameroon, Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, creates Radio AN and AN/TV television dedicated to communication on activities within the first chamber of Parliament. According to the institution’s communication division, the two channels aim to modernize and optimize communication of the activities of the National Assembly in general and those of the deputies in particular.

Radio AN and AN/TV come after the written medium “Echos du parlement”, a newspaper that covers news in both chambers of parliament as well as that concerning senators and deputies. In addition to this newspaper, the Assembly communicates via social networks and on CRTV radio and television channels through magazines.
According to the order of March 06, 2026, creating these channels, the costs relating to the construction and operation of these media outlets will be charged to the budget of the National Assembly. The creation order thus announces the next step, which consists of the construction of structures and the launch of programs for the two channels.

The creation of these communication bodies comes a few years after the creation of the Presidency of the Republic’s television channel and the launch of its activities. PRC TV, launched in 2022, is dedicated to promoting in particular the activities of the President of the Republic, but also those of the First Lady, the services of the Presidency of the Republic, as well as other sovereignty activities.
