Wednesday, September 17, 2026 in Yaoundé, three ministerial departments took a major step by signing a tripartite collaboration framework for agropastoral and fisheries human capital. An agreement with the German GIZ further strengthens this dynamic.
This is a new milestone for human capital in Cameroon. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER), the Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries (MINEPIA), and the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MINEFOP) formalized their partnership on Wednesday, September 17, 2026 in Yaoundé.
The ceremony reached its climax with the solemn signing of the tripartite collaboration framework, amid applause. Subsequently, a Cooperation Agreement (MoU) was signed between MINEFOP and the German cooperation agency GIZ.
Speaking, the three government members emphasized the strategic significance of the agreement.
For Dr. Taïga, Minister of MINEPIA, it is necessary to “align training with the realities of production basins.” The acting Minister of MINEFOP, Mounouna Foutsou, described this framework as “a concrete response to the mismatch between training and employment in key sectors.” Finally, MINADER’s Gabriel Mbaïrobé highlighted that this pooling will “build a more coherent, more professionalizing training ecosystem oriented towards rural entrepreneurship.”
