MINEE and Premier Energies Ltd discussed concrete solutions for energy access, in a context of ongoing reforms.
The Minister of Water and Energy received a delegation from Premier Energies Ltd on April 27. Led by Efi Frager, accompanied by Ibrahim Barry and Adrien Rebet.
At the heart of the discussions was a solar kit project aimed at equipping public buildings and households, especially in rural areas.
The observation remains. The electricity sector is weakened. Measures are being taken. Fight against fraud. Tariff adjustments. Volume revision. Renationalization of the Kribi gas power plant. Eneo’s recovery after Actis’ departure.
On the ground, progress has been made. The RIS–RIN interconnection is 35% complete. A step towards a unified network.
On the water side, the SEWASH program has been launched. It aims for better access to drinking water and sanitation.
Goal set: stabilize the sector and restore balance by 2027.
