The Minister of Commerce is monitoring the progress of preparations.

Less than two months before the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO), scheduled from March 26 to 29, 2026 in Yaoundé, Cameroon is intensifying preparations. In close collaboration with the WTO Secretariat, national authorities report a generally satisfactory level of progress.
Under the coordination of a National Organizing Committee, the preparation of MC14 involves several specialized sub-committees led by government members. According to the Minister of Commerce, Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, the Cameroonian teams are working in perfect synergy with WTO experts, who have welcomed the progress made.
On the logistical front, efforts are focused on renovating and equipping key sites intended to host the Organization’s senior officials, and the Yaoundé Conference Centre, which will host the ministerial and technical sessions. The issue of delegation accommodation is also being closely monitored, with 1,594 reservations already confirmed by mid-January 2026.
In parallel, the authorities are finalizing the content of the ministerial work and the scheduling of parallel events.
