
Guinean President Mamadi Doumbouya on Monday appointed 18 ministers and two secretaries-general for 20 ministerial portfolios within the post-election government, according to an official source.
According to a presidential decree, this partial reshuffle aims to fill the portfolios left vacant following the collective resignation of the outgoing government, which occurred after the December 2025 presidential election.

The new government team is characterized by institutional continuity, with the majority of former ministers being reappointed to their positions or redeployed to other posts, while new officials are entering the executive branch.
The appointments particularly concern key departments such as Justice, Territorial Administration, Security, Foreign Affairs, Economy and Finance, Mines, Health, Education, Infrastructure, Transport, Communication, and the Environment. Secretary-General positions, with ministerial rank, have also been filled.

According to the authorities, these appointments constitute a first step in the implementation of the process of return to constitutional order, initiated after the presidential election last December.
