The Cameroonian Football Federation and the Red Cross seal a strategic partnership to strengthen health coverage for the king of sports.

In Yaoundé, the amphitheater of the Cameroon Red Cross served as the setting, on Wednesday, April 08, 2026, for the signing of an unprecedented agreement with the Cameroon Football Federation. Before an audience of prestigious guests, including former Indomitable Lion Albert Roger Milla, President Cécile Akame Mfoumou and Samuel Eto’o Fils formalized this “marriage” in the service of football.

The agreement provides for health coverage of competitions, the mobilization of volunteers, as well as awareness and training actions. The CRC will also ensure the care of athletes and potential evacuations. Hailing a “rare pearl,” Samuel Eto’o insisted on the importance of this collaboration, while Cécile Akame Mfoumou called on football stakeholders to place their trust in this structuring initiative.
