This vast campaign will take place across the national territory from April 24 to May 29, i.e., 35 days, with the participation of over 32,000 census agents deployed in the field, according to authorities.
The government indicated that the operation, funded to the tune of nearly 23.5 million dollars (approximately 13.5 billion CFA francs), aimed to provide reliable statistics for development planning, public policy formulation, and the consideration of the demographic dividend in Cameroon’s trajectory towards emergence.
The collected data should allow for a better understanding of the situation of the population, the economy, and the rural sector, while offering a reference tool for public administrations, business circles, universities, research centers, and other development actors.
